It’s a big day for hockey in Las Vegas as the Golden Knights are set to play their first-ever home game in franchise history as they host the Arizona Coyotes.

Since it’s the team’s first home opener in franchise history, you can bet they have a few things planned for the fans in attendance.

The team will also be paying tribute to the Vegas shooting victims in different ways as the pre-game national anthem will be led by a Harvest Festival Team member, the music festival that was the site of the tragedy.

Throughout the night the Golden Knights plan on showing the world that they’re Vegas Strong and one way they’re going to do that is through their boards, which will have no advertisements on them.

“There won't be any advertisements on the boards tonight. Instead, our boards will reflect who we are. #VegasStrong”

We’ll have to wait and see what else they have in store, but so far they’ve made all the right calls.
