Before Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor went toe-to-toe in the boxing ring, many people were speculating the fight was only happening due to the opportunity to make boatloads of money. Mayweather and McGregor were the two most popular fighters on the planet, so it was inevitable the fight would make big money.

While that is less of a critique after the fight didn’t disappoint viewers, there’s no doubting these two are taking home loads of cash from the bout. But how much money are we talking about here?

See the purse for all of the fights below (confirmed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission):

Therefore, Mayweather is guaranteed $100 million and McGregor $30 million before Pay Per View and Sponsorship money are counted for. And it was estimated Mayweather would be making $25 million on clothing sponsorship alone, so we can’t even imagine how much Mayweather will take home after PPV and all other sponsorship money is accounted for.

Interesting to note how some of the fighters early on the card weren’t even making as much as what some of the seats in the arena were costing fans to sit in. It doesn’t simply pay to be a boxer… it only pays to be a really good boxer/ promoter.
