The NHL regular season is right around the corner and it’s starting to look like we’re not going to see Jaromir Jagr in an NHL uniform this year.

The 45-year-old Kladno, Czech Republic native has been spending most of his time during the offseason working out back at home, but he’s still hoping an NHL team will give him a call.

However, even though he wants to return to North America for another season, he hasn’t entirely ruled out playing next season HC Kladno, especially if it gives him a shot at participating in the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Jaromir #Jagr hasn't ruled out staying in Czech Republic in order to prepare for the #Olympics.

Although he hasn’t ruled out returning to the WSM Liga, it still remains his second choice behind playing in the NHL.

On Tuesday night, HC Kladno unveiled their new threads for the upcoming season, and they used Jagr’s name and No. 68 as their examples.

Considering Jagr still remains a free agent with just under a month to go until the start of the NHL regular season, it’s starting to look like a return to the WSM Liga is in Jagr’s near future. At least he won’t feel out of place with the team if he does decide to join them on short notice as he spent most of the summer working out with them anyways.

#Jagr still thinks he's got it. Where will he end up? 🤔

Hopefully someone signs him soon because he’s too good to sit at home all year long while everyone else gets to play hockey.
