Although the Ottawa Senators' season ended in heartbreak, the hockey world discovered what their fans already knew, Erik Karlsson is really, really good.

The #Sens after the hockey world called them boring...

The 26-year-old recorded 18 points in 19 games and was a +13 in the postseason.

Those incredible stats actually don't display just how good Karlsson was in the playoffs, though.

After a hard fought Game 7, Karlsson was all class in defeat and he even shared a special moment with the injured Kris Letang.

As hockey fans, what more could you want than that?  The respect after such a hard fought series is just so cool to see.

Karlsson and Letang didn't have to talk to one another and it would have been fine, but the fact that they did just shows how much respect the players have for each other.

As competitive as the Stanley Cup final will be, expect to see some cool moments of respect, similar to Letang and Karlsson's once it's all said and done.
