Once the news broke, it was very clear the kind of impact Halladay had on the people around him and the cities he played for, especially Toronto, the city he called home for 12 years.

The Toronto Maple Leafs hosted the Minnesota Wild at the Air Canada Centre on Wednesday evening and there was a video tribute and a moment of silence for Halladay ahead of the game.

The Toronto Raptors also held a moment of silence for Doc ahead of their game against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night.
