Both Martellus and Michael Bennett are two players who are never afraid to share what’s on their minds. After spending the past three seasons with the Chicago Bears, Martellus had enough and let the team know he wanted to be part of a contender, so they traded him to the New England Patriots in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2016 draft.

It ended up being a big move for the Patriots, as tight end Rob Gronkowski had his season cut short once again and only played in 8 games. As for Bennett, he played all 16 games and racked up 701 yards and caught 7 touchdowns.

If there’s one thing Bennett has made clear in interviews over the past year, it’s that he admires Tom Brady as a professional athlete and as a person. The two have a great sense of humour, so it’s no surprise that they became so close this season. During Tom Brady’s final media session on Thursday, Bennett came out of nowhere and scared the ‘crap out’ of his quarterback.

Count on Martellus Bennett of all people to prank Brady like that during his press conference. The Patriots quarterback had a great response, though, as he told his teammate to ‘go to sleep’.

As great as it was to see Bennett freak out Brady, the better part of the video comes after that when he gets interviewed by teammate Devin McCourty, who has a twin brother, Jason, on the Tennessee Titans.
