Matt Duchene reveals how most players feel as the deadline approaches

#TradeCentre 2017 is here, and with Kevin Shattenkrik off the market after being traded to Washington, all eyes are on Joe Sakic and the Colorado Avalanche.

Leading up to the deadline, rumours of trades involving Gabriel Landeskog and Matt Duchene have been swirling, and if Sakic is going to in fact trade one of Colorado's core pieces, Wednesday's the day it will happen.

Obviously it's been a tough season for the Avs as they are in last place in the league by a lot, and the trade rumours haven't made things any easier for Duchene.

We imagine every player feels somewhat similar to how Duchene does.  Of course it's a business, but at the end of the day, the players just want to play without the extra weight of the rumours on them.

Fortunately for Duchene, at 3:00pm ET, he can go back to doing just that, and Avalanche fans are hopeful the top player on TSN Hockey's trade board will still be playing for their team.
