Conor McGregor went toe-to-toe with Floyd Mayweather nearly two months ago and now it’s starting to looking like The Notorious might be returning to the octagon very soon.

On Friday, the reigning UFC Lightweight Champion shared a photo on his social media accounts that had a very Grand Theft Auto theme to it with the caption; ‘Tony’.

It's starting to look like a Conor McGregor vs. Tony Ferguson bout will be coming to us before the end of the year, just like UFC President Dana White said during the UFC 216 post-fight press conference.

“Nobody’s talked about Diaz. Diaz has never been talked about. That’s internet bullsh*t,” White said, via MMAfighting.com. “Tony’s the interim champion, Conor’s the champion, that’s the fight that makes sense. It’s the fight that has to happen, it doesn’t ‘make sense,’ it’s the fight that has to happen.”

While most UFC fans would love to see a third edition of McGregor-Diaz up next, they’ll probably have to witness a McGregor-Ferguson bout first.

No one from the UFC has commented on the possible bout since McGregor’s latest post, but we wouldn’t be shocked if they put the bout on the lineup for UFC 219 at T-Mobile Arena on December 30.
