Hockey and wrestling don't go together often, but there are rare occasions when the two unite.

Sunday night, for example, WWE Payback was at the Shark Tank in San Jose.

Furthermore, a pair of Canadians battled for the United States title at Payback, and Chris Jericho came out on top after getting Kevin Owens to tap out.

Monday, Owens took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the loss in typical KO fashion:

Now, here's where the next hockey and wrestling combination comes into play.

Owens, who is arguably WWE's biggest heel right now, also explained on Twitter why Americans need him as the face of their country, and he used what happened during the national anthem at the Oilers game to prove his point:

Obviously people were not happy with what Owens had to say, so many responded:

As the incredible heel he is, Owens later clarified his original comment:

Now, for those people that have no idea who Owens is and don't watch wrestling, a heel is the 'bad guy' and will do anything to generate heat so fans boo him or her that much more.

All KO is doing with these tweets is staying true to his heel character, and it's entertaining to say the least.

Of course, there is the possibility he's being serious, but the more likely explanation is the one given above.  Now that you have all of the information, though, you can be the judge of his intentions:
