Tempers started to flare at the end of Game 3 and Sidney Crosby and P.K. Subban exchanged a few words as the Penguins skated off the ice. When asked about the exchange after the game, Subban came up with a fantastic and humorous answer.

According to Subban, Crosby told the Preds defenceman that he had bad breath, something that the Penguins captain later denied.

Crosby: Subban made up bad breath comments

We’ll never know if Crosby actually commented on Subban’s breath during their little exchange, but Subban is running with what he said and sticking to his word.

It turns out the whole gag might have landed Subban a Listerine sponsorship, as he shared this photo of his travel bag on Wednesday night.

Subban has the Listerine all ready to go for the quick road trip to Pittsburgh and isn’t backing down from the joke anytime soon.
