On Friday night, the Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights will open their seasons (Golden Knights will be playing first game in franchise history) and fans will probably notice a sticker the players for those teams will be wearing on their helmets.

Both Hurricane Irma and the shooting in Vegas earlier this week were tragic events and the Panthers will continue to show their unity and support for all those affected by those events with the sticker on their helmets.

Furthermore, Stars players will also be wearing a Vegas strong sticker on their helmets during their game against the Golden Knights and Lightning players will wear the Hurricane Irma stickers during their game against the Panthers.

Some might think sports are just a distraction from the tragic events that take place in the world, but the teams and players truly care about bringing people together in these dark times and showing their support in more ways than one.
