The Chicago Hockey Charity Classic took place at the Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva, Illinois, this past weekend and it featured plenty of current and former NHL players and other professional hockey players.

The game featured players such as Patrick Kane, Vinnie Hinostroza, Ian Cole, Megan Bozek, Jake McCabe, Daniel Carcillo, Bandon Pirri and Garrett Sparks, and was put together in hopes of raising money towards Special Olympics Chicago.

One team was captained by Kane, while the other was captained by Hinostroza. The game featured two 25-minute halves, which Team Vinnie ended up taking 14-12, but they needed a shootout to decide things.

Since the game was just for fun, Kane decided to try something new for the fans when his time in the shootout came, but it didn’t exactly go as planned for the Blackhawks superstar.

Kane tried to set himself up with his own hand pass, but was denied by the goalie with ease.

The original goal was to raise $100,000 through ticket sales and silent auction items, but they ended up crushing their original goal by raising $139,437 when it was all said and done.
