When the 2018 NHL Entry Draft rolls around next summer, you can expect to hear Rasmus Dahlin’s name get called with the first overall pick in the draft.

The 17-year-old is currently playing his second season with Frölunda HC of the Swedish Hockey League and is off to a very impressive start.

On Thursday, the Trollhättan, Sweden native scored his fourth goal of the campaign and it was a beauty.

The young defenceman impressively spotted some open space and took full advantage of it as he bolted down the ice and completed the end-to-end rush with his fourth of the season.

In 18 games this season, Dahlin has four goals and four assists for eight points in 18 games after recording just one goal and two assists in 26 games last season as a 16-year-old rookie. Before making the jump to the SHL, Dahlin spent time with the Frölunda HC J20 team, where he scored nine goals and added 13 assists for 22 points in 24 games.
