Kendrick Lamar dropped a new single on Thursday night and it got the basketball world talking.

In his new single, The Heart Part 4, the Compton native gave fellow California native Russell Westbrook a shout out, while taking a shot at Kevin Durant at the same time.

"Tables turned, lessons learned, my best look

You jumped sides on me, now you 'bout to meet Westbrook

Go celebrate with your team and let victory vouch you

Just know the next game played, I might slap the (expletive) out you

Technical foul, I'm flagrant, I'm foul

They throwin' me out, you throw in the towel"

Clearly Kendrick Lamar has been impressed by Westbrook’s play this season in his first year without KD, and he is using Westbrook's 2016-17 campaign as his motivation to come out firing on the music scene this year.

On Friday night, Westbrook was asked about Lamar’s new song and it’s safe to say he’s a very big fan.

Westbrook barely cracks a smile when he records a triple-double, but his face lit up as soon as he was asked about hearing his name in Kendrick Lamar’s new tune.
