Last season was Bickell's final NHL season as he was forced to retire after he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, but the Blackhawks wanted to do something a little more special for their former second round draft pick.

On Thursday, the Blackhawks opened up their 2017-18 season with a home game against the Pittsburgh Penguins and they introduced Bickell during the player introductions one final time.

Bickell played 384 games with the Blackhawks and he recorded 65 goals and 70 assists for 135 points.
