For years, the Montreal Canadiens have rocked the same NHL jersey.

The team’s red, white, and blue pattern can be recognized by fans of all sports, and its iconic logo easily stands out as one of the league’s finest. The entire uniform will likely remain the same for the foreseeable future, but an artist provided his take on what a more modern one could look like.

Yesterday we featured Dylan Nowak’s jersey concept idea for the Winnipeg Jets and it turned out to be quite the hit. Nowak, who specializes in jersey concepts, has previously designed uniforms for other Canadian teams such as the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks to name a few.

With few Canadian teams left, Nowak crossed the Habs off of his list with a very crisp new jersey. Take a look.

It’s a beautiful uniform, but it feels somewhat weird looking at it without the iconic stripe running through the middle. Other artists have also taken a shot at designing a new Canadiens sweater, so here’s a look at what we were able to find.

With Montreal now taken care of, the only Canadian team left is the Calgary Flames. Hopefully he’ll provide fans with one in the not so distant future and complete the country’s seven jersey circle.
