Thursday the sports world lost another icon, and while he wasn't an athlete, Craig Sager had the same impact on the sports world as any legendary athlete did.

The longtime sideline reporter was known for his colourful personality and his colourful wardrobe.  He was extremely hard working and dedicated, and he was incredible at his job.

Players and coaches, yes, even Gregg Popovich, enjoyed the interviews with Sager because of the very thoughtful questions he would ask and because of who he was as a person.

After being diagnosed with leukemia in 2014, Sager fought on and eventually returned to the sidelines, but at age 65, Sager lost his battle.  Still, he will forever be remembered as strong, Sager Strong.

Ahead of TNT's NBA double-header Thursday night, they honoured their longtime colleague and friend with an emotional tribute video.

Absolutely beautiful.  We imagine over the next few days that more player tributes will continue to pour in while the NBA mourns the loss of Sager, and already we've seen how he's being honoured around the Association.
