This weekend, reports surfaced that Tony Romo would be suiting up for the Dallas Mavericks in their final home game of the season Tuesday night against Denver.

For those who laughed at the report, the joke is on you because Romo is indeed suiting up for the Mavs when they take on the Nuggets, but before doing so, Romo spent the day with the team.

Aside from hanging with the players, Romo also participated in practice and showed off his solid shooting stroke which impressed the players.

Romo also took part in a team picture in full Mavs uniform.

Romo in a Mavs uniform looks like a pretty natural thing to be honest.  Add in the fact that he can clearly shoot and it makes us wonder more if Dallas would actually attempt to play him (which is probably illegal, but still).

As incredible as the day was for Tony, we imagine it was made even better by being able to share the experience with his family.

Of course, being the funny guy that Dirk Nowitzki is, he had some friendly chirps for Romo ahead of the game.

Hats off to the Mavericks for honouring Romo in such an incredible and unique way.

Also, hats off to the internet for supporting him in many different ways.
