Tony Romo is getting one more shot to put on a uniform in Dallas, only it’s not going to be a Cowboys uniform.

On Tuesday, Romo will join the Dallas Mavericks on a one-day contract and will be on the bench for their home finale against the Denver Nuggets.

According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Mavs will make the longtime Cowboys quarterback “a Maverick for a day”, and intend to have him on the bench in full uniform.

As for Romo, he grew up playing basketball and football, but ended up choosing football in the end. However, it's highly unlikely that he actually gets any playing time.

Looks like the city of Dallas will get one more opportunity to say goodbye to the four-time Pro Bowler
