The Toronto Rock hosted the Vancouver Stealth in NLL action at the Air Canada Centre this past Saturday night.

The Rock are currently fighting it out with the Georgia Swarm for first place in the East Division, so every game matters with just five regular season games remaining on the schedule.

Down 12-7 late in the game, Vancouver decided to pull their goalie in hopes of a miraculous comeback. Instead, their comeback was stopped pretty quickly, as Rock goalie Nick Rose ended up scoring to put the game out of reach.

While goalie goals aren’t as rare in lacrosse as they are in hockey, it’s still not something you see every day. This goal happened to be Rose’s second of the season, making him the first goalie in NLL history to score two goals in a single season.

The 29-year-old goalie also scored a goal last season, and has already set a career high in points this year with eight.
