The KHL playoffs are officially underway and Canadian goalie Eddie Pasquale is already the talk of the postseason.

Pasquale is currently playing with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and his team is out to a 2-0 series lead thanks to his performances through the first two games, as the 30-year-old Toronto, Ontario native has stopped all 52 shots that he’s faced and has yet to allow a goal.

The former Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets prospect made the move to the KHL last season and has been pretty in both the regular season and the playoffs, but now he’s shining the brightest when the team needs him most.

Pasquale went 25-11-3 with a 1.91 goals against average, a .925 save percentage and five shutouts, and through two playoff games he’s sitting at 2-0 with a 0.00 goals against average and a 1.000 save percentage.

Last year Pasquale played for Barys Nur-Sultan and in his first KHL season he went 24-18-1 with a 2.03 goals against average, a .930 save percentage and one shutout during the regular season and went 4-1 with a 1.28 goals against average and a .960 save percentage in the postseason, which was unfortunately cut short due to the pandemic.
