The Toronto Maple Leafs made a couple of trades yesterday and one thing people always overlook is how trades affect the day-to-day lives of the players.

Adam Cracknell has one of the biggest shifts in temperature to go through, as he was traded from the Leafs organization to the Ducks. The gap between Toronto and Anaheim’s temperature at the moment is about 16 degrees Celsius and that’s only going to grow as we get further into winter. So we’re sure Cracknell is excited for the warmer climate, but he wishes the trade came just a little bit earlier.

Then he wouldn’t have bought new winter tires.

While it is unfortunate timing for the trade to have happened, it’s hard to feel bad for someone who is going to a place with a high of 21 degrees on December 11th.

Maybe he can link up with Steven Oleksy, because he might be in need of some winter tires when he’s coming the other way.
