Shootouts can get pretty repetitive in hockey, but every once in a while, someone revolutionizes the whole thing.
Shayne Jackson, a stickhandling specialist and Canada Hockey trainer, shows off a lot of his skills on Instagram and he just posted a video of a move that we’ve never seen before. We’ve seen guys like Pavel Barber pull off the “Zorro” move, but we’ve never seen it used in this way.
We would love to see this used in a real NHL game.
The other thing we’d love to see is a Barber vs. Jackson shootout competition.
These two have some filthy mitts and would no doubt come with more creativity than we ever see in NHL All-Star competitions. Plus, they have proven to inspire some NHL athletes in the past, so it’s possible they could force them to up their game as well.
