Oilers defenceman Adam Larsson was straight to the point after Sunday night's 7-4 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes

Larsson finished the night with a -3 rating in 17:46 of ice-time while controlling 42.86 percent of the shot attempt share and didn’t hold back when pressed about his performance.

"They came out hot, we didn't and a lot of that is on me," Larsson told reporters. "I'm playing so bad right now, I don't know what it is, but I need it to stop as soon as possible."

Known for his defensive acumen, Larsson hit finished with a -3 rating for the second straight game and the fourth time in his last seven outings to bring his total to -13 on the season.

"I feel like I'm working hard, I feel like I'm just too I’m passive, I’m not skating. Nothing is going my way. It’s up to me to get out of it. I’m not even close right now."

With only five wins in their last 16 games while being outshot in 17 of their last 20, the Oilers are still just one point out of the second wildcard spot in the Western Conference.
