On their path to World Series victory, the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees added another chapter to their historic rivalry.

Unfortunately for baseball fans, it was only a best-of-5 series, but it was an incredibly entertaining series that went Boston's way in part thanks to a massive 16-1 win in Game 3.

Wednesday, the Red Sox celebrated their championship victory with a parade back in Boston and first-year bench boss Alex Cora torched the Yankees while speaking to the fans on hand.

Cora, who played for the Red Sox and won the World Series with Boston in 2007, knows all about the rivalry with the Yankees and his words will only add fuel to best rivalry in baseball.

Seeing as the Red Sox and Yankees will bring back loaded rosters for next season and beyond, we're really looking forward to watching them battle it out in big games for the foreseeable future.
