Same two teams, same two results, in the same building, but five years later. 

The Maple Leafs even had three different one-goal leads, including a one goal lead at the start of the third period.

But just like the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Bruins still found a way to come back, as they went on to defeat Toronto Maple Leafs 7-4 to eliminate the buds from post-season contention.

Torey Krug, Jake DeBrusk and David Pastrnak found the back of the net in the final frame to propel the Bruins to the win. Frederik Andersen couldn't stop the wave of goals, and fell to 0-4 in Game 7 finals with an save percentage of 

 

With the loss, the Leafs remain the sole Canadian NHL team to never win a playoff series in the salary cap era.

Ouch.

The Leafs last post-season series win came back in 2004 when they defeated the Ottawa Senators in seven games.

Much like the 2016 and 2017 playoffs, the Leafs failed to make it past the second round, as they fell in six games to the Flyers when Jeremy Roenick walked in on a 2-on-1  and roofed one high glove past Ed Belfour in overtime.
 
The Bruins will play the Tampa Bay Lighting in a battle of the two top teams in the Eastern Conference, with the series getting started on Saturday night.
