Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner.
After an absolute thrilling round at TPC at Toronto Osprey Valley, Team Dubas defeated Team Duthie by a single stoke with $60,000 to charity on the line. The Toronto Maple Leafs general manager joined forces with Gerry Dee, while James paired up with OverDrive's very own O-Dog. Close, but no cigar for the fellas from Agincourt!
The event was managed by and in collaboration with One-Eleven Management group, with each team member playing on behalf of a local charity. A total of $60,000 will be donated, as Dubas played for You Can Play, Dee for Kidsport Ontario, Duthie for Frontline Fund and O-Dog for Down Syndrome for the York region of Ontario. Additional money, however, was awarded for certain shots.
Things were TIGHT heading into the last few holes until Dubas finally took the lead with a BEAUTY on 17. Pressure? What pressure?!
Ah, the sweet, sweet taste of victory. Sorry for including this James and Jeff...
What a great day for a great cause, even if a few of our employees lost in a nail-biter. The four should be proud of what they were able to accomplish today.
