You can count Barack Obama on the Duke train.

Every year, the 44th President of the United States reveals his prediction for the March Madness tournament and this time around he chose to play things safe. Like so many others across the globe, the die-hard basketball fan chose to go with Zion Williamson and the Duke Blue Devils. Obama has Coach K’s squad taking down their ACC rivals, the North Carolina Tar Heels in the finals.

The lowest seed in the Elite Eight as a number 4? Come on Mr. President, where’s the risk!

Obama has correctly picked the national champion twice since 2009 and ironically enough, it’s been the Tar Heels snipping down the nets both times. They made him look real smart during his first year in office and then helped him out again in 2017. So… was betting against Roy Williams a bad call?

Last year, Obama selected Villanova to the Final Four but chose Michigan State to win it all. Louisville has already been knocked out of the tournament so he can kiss the perfect bracket goodbye, but if Zion keeps it up, he and many others across the country will be feeling pretty good about themselves come April.
