Did you hear? Brad Marchand licked Ryan Callahan. We hope that by this point you’ve heard, or maybe it’s time to start getting out a little more.

Marchand’s infamous lick has caused a chain reaction of response. Players and coaches across the league, not to mention fans and general internet users, have chimed in with reactions that range from disgust to hilarity. The league even had to send out a warning that it was the last time somebody would get away with something as invasive as a lick. One thing is for sure, nobody get in your personal space quite like Brad Marchand.

The latest to get on the waterfall of comical responses is Jets’ captain Blake Wheeler. When asked a question totally unrelated to the incident, Wheeler made sure to insert a little shade by his own devices.

Wheeler previously mentioned the lick earlier in the round:

“It’s a new tendency,” Wheeler on Saturday after Marchand's second lick of the postseason. “He’s achieving his goal. He’s not playing for Nashville, and you’re asking me about Brad Marchand. He’s clearly in everyone’s head right now.

He is the latest in a long list of hockey people to chime in, that list even includes the Montreal Canadiens.

#BradMarchand wasn't holding back on Twitter this morning 😂👀
