Brad Marchand likes to talk trash (a lot of it), but the guy has a good heart where it counts.

Jillian Murphy, a former gymnast diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which requires her to use a wheelchair, first met Marchand when the Boston Bruins held their annual hospital visit in December, according to the team's official site.

Usually, Marchand is the one to initiate the social media beefs, but in attendance for last week’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes, Murphy was the one sending shots, although it was all in good humour.

Marchand responded by inviting Murphy to come down and say hi after, but the glass by the ice isn’t a wheelchair-accessible part of the arena. As a result, Marchand set up locker room access for Murphy after the game.

If you look at Marchand’s Twitter feed, the guy is mostly online to chirp other players, whether it’s Mitch MarnerTorey Krug or even the big man Zdeno Chara.

However, it’s clear that the guy has a soft spot as well. Nothing but respect for a player taking the time out of his day to engage with the community.

Even when Marchand was captured sharing a cute little moment with his daughter over the weekend before a game, the response was mostly positive. Opposing fans might tire quickly of this guy during the playoffs... but he hasn’t seemed so bad lately!
