Brad Marchand is the perfect heel in the NHL. He’s talented, which no one can deny, he plays on the edge and he doesn’t care what anybody thinks about him.

One of the latest chapters in his villain-like antics is a series of actions where he’s either kissed or licked opposing players. Almost all of them have happened against the Toronto Maple Leafs and a story came out recently that the NHL had asked him to stop licking people. The news made its way around the internet and now Marchand is responding to those stories claiming it’s fake news.

Marchand is actually good for the game of hockey and his antics probably help play up the characters in the game. While we’re not sure the NHL wants its players licking others, it also makes sense that they would stay out of this case.

Marchand is the best villain in all of the NHL.

Villains give people something to root against which keeps them more interested in the games even when their team isn’t playing. In fact, some of the strongest emotions from fans doesn’t come from loving their own team, but instead hating another team.

Marchand is like Lance Stephenson if he was one of the best players in the league.
