Bradley Beal is one of the best shooters in the NBA, but his talents have predominantly gone to waste throughout his career. While Beal commands respect on the court, the Washington Wizards haven’t been able to put together a threatening season in a long time.

In 2021, the Wizards made a blockbuster move that centered around sending the oft-injured John Wall to Houston in exchange for Russell Westbrook. While Westbrook is having a nice season, and the Wizards did manage to string together five straight wins recently, and seven of their last 10, they’re still sitting at a 13-19 and have a lot of work to do.

One of the sadder stats of the NBA season also emerged following a 46 point performance from Beal. According to ESPN, it’s the 11th consecutive 40-point performance from Beal that has ended in a Wizards loss.

No kidding it’s the longest such streak in NBA History, that’s absolutely bananas. A 40-point game should automatically set up the rest of the team for a decisive victory, but Beal’s big performances have just been left out to dry.
