The Yankees are living the good life right now. Sitting 40 games above .500 and tied for the best record in the league with the Dodgers (entering play Saturday), New York is cruising towards what could be a lengthy playoff run.
The baseball season is long, though, and no matter how well a team is playing, there are always moments of frustration. Saturday afternoon, the Yankees experienced one of those moments as Brett Gardner, Aaron Boone, and CC Sabathia were all tossed.
Gardner getting tossed was the most interesting ejection of the trio.
Apparently banging your bat against the top of the dugout is not something you're allowed to do and Gardner once again found that out the hard way.
Despite the ejections, New York held on for the win, their 49th at home this season.
