Sometimes, ya gotta do what ya gotta do to prevent a goal… even if it means breaking the rules.

18-year-old Swedish forward Fabian Lysell had himself a night after getting drafted by the Bruins 21st overall, but followed up the big news with one of the more questionable hockey plays we’ve seen of the summer. The guy threw his stick to stop an empty-netter but unfortunately it didn’t work out too well.

Nice try though, Fabian.
