It was a crazy night in Hamilton on Monday night. Not only did the Tiger-Cats pick up their first victory of the 2017 CFL season, but the game was delayed by more than two hours due to a severe thunderstorm.

With a lot of time to kill during the rain delay, the CFL on TSN panel did their best to fill the time until the rain stopped, but the thunder and lightning was so intense during parts of their segments that it was a little tough for some of them to stay focused on the football talk.

Both Milt Stegall and Matt Dunigan couldn’t help but turn around towards the field to see what was going on outside in the crazy weather delay.

While the CFL on TSN panel discussed the game from field level, TSN reporter Matthew Scianitti was in the middle of a one-on-one conversation with CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie, and even he found himself startled by the loud thunder.

The rain delay concluded after two hours and the Ticats made it worthwhile for every fan who stayed to watch the game as they pulled away with their first victory of the year.
