Kobe Bryant was a hooper through and through, for nearly his entire life. He helped lead Merion High School to a state championship, and not long after he joined the NBA in which he found tremendous success.

It all had to start somewhere, though. Turns out, it started in the driveway of a Philadelphia-area home that just closed on a deal worth $810,000.

We’re thinking the price tag isn’t a coincidence. Kobe will forever be remembered for dropping 81 points on the Toronto Raptors, and the number has followed him around in significance ever since his tragic helicopter crash back in January.

The house is 5-bed, 3.5 bath according to TMZ Sports, who first reported the story. The Bryant family hasn’t had ties to the house since 2008, but apparently the deal to change ownership again became official on November 6th.
