One of the hardest parts about being a professional athlete is being traded.

Even if you can sense a trade is coming, it's never an easy thing to deal with, regardless of whether you're single or have a family.  Some trade stories can be entertaining, though, and former Leaf Carlo Colaiacovo told fans the story of how he and Alex Steen found out they were getting traded for Lee Stempniak on 'Landsberg In The Morning.'

Leafs fans will remember this trade made by Cliff Fletcher as he dealt the two former first-round picks for the 25-year-old Stempniak on November 24th of 2008.

Unfortunately Stempniak never lived up to the hype as he only recorded 31 points in 61 games during the 2008/09 season and just 30 the year after in his last season with the team.

Steen, on the other hand, went on to become a key contributor for the Blues and he still is at the age of 34 as he recorded 46 points last season.
