Last November, Tucson Roadrunners captain Craig Cunningham collapsed on the ice prior to puck drop. Thankfully, the staff in attendance got to him quick enough to save his life.

A couple of months ago, the AHL honoured Cunningham by having this yearโ€™s 48 All-Stars rock No. 14 during the warm-ups.

Cunningham recently returned to Tucson Arena, but he only went in the change room and the press box. On Friday, the 26-year-old Trail, British Columbia native laced up the skates and returned to the ice for the first time since the incident.

Itโ€™s truly remarkable how quickly Cunningham is improving and his story is truly one of the most inspiring in all of sports.
