The opening game of the MLB season between the Marlins and Cubs on Monday started off with a bang as Ian Happ homered on the first pitch of the season.

It was an awesome way to get the season started, but Michael Cerami who covers the Cubs probably would have preferred it to start a less exciting way based on what he tweeted before Happ stepped up to the plate.

Once you put something like that out on social media, there's no going back and rather than wait for then weather to get better to stay true to his tweet, Michael delivered on his promise shortly after watching Happ hit his home run.

Hats off to Michael for delivering and hopefully the Cubs win on opening day to make it his decision to jump into Lake Michigan somewhat worth it.
