In the age of the internet, you’ve got to be really, REALLY careful what you say. People WILL do a deep dive and discover your old forgotten-about posts, so you better keep those feeds clean!
Luckily for Devlin Hodges, he was mostly safe from the Twitter goblins. There was one tweet that stood out to on the new Pittsburgh Steelers starter however. Apparently he didn’t use to be a fan of another major sports team in the city, the Pittsburgh Penguins.
If it’s any consolation, it seems as though this tweet was a knee-jerk reaction more than an actual deep-seeded hatred for the Pens. One Twitter user did the leg work on this one.
As you can see, the Pens put up a number on the Nashville Predators, and this was Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final to give the Pens a 3-2 series lead. It’s understandable that any Preds fan would have that feeling, and Hodges is apparently a Preds fan.
Luckily for unhappy Pittsburgh sports fans, Hodges made good and let them know that he no longer hated the Pens.
