Dwight Howard is returning to the NBA Dunk Contest, and NBA fans are pretty excited about it. That’s because he provided one of the most memorable moments in Dunk Contest history when he put on his Superman cape and threw down a vicious jam.

He literally threw it.

He’s now more than a decade older than he was when he also managed to pull off the love-tap off the backboard to himself, but fans are still expecting a lot of creativity from Howard. That’s a lot of pressure for the veteran, but he’s got an idea of how to do it.

Bryant and Howard do have a history, and it’s not necessarily pretty. During their one season together in 2012-13, Howard and Kobe dropped a few quotes about each other regarding Kobe’s shot taking, and Howard’s attitude.

Since then, Howard has made amends with the city of Los Angeles after re-joining the team. Now he’s hoping to put the hypothetical nail in the coffin by asking Kobe to participate in one of basketball’s biggest showcases.

Fans had all kinds of funny analysis on the situation.
