Things have been mostly quiet on the Dwyane Wade front throughout the offseason, and fans weren’t sure if he’d return for another season or decide to hang it up for good.

Finally, we have our answer, as Dwyane Wade took to Twitter with a simple announcement: “One Last Dance.”

In a ten-minute video published with his tweet, Wade explains some of the thought process behind his decision. Retirement was reportedly an option that he was strongly considering until very recently, which isn’t so surprising, as Manu Ginobili only made his own decision to retire in late August.

The Heat were also said to want Wade back deeply, even holding on to their final roster spot pending his decision. Now that he’s back, Heat fans sure have to stoked for one last rodeo with the franchise icon.

Wade, entering his age-37 season, will play his 16th and final season in the NBA next season, as well as his 14th with the Heat. He played briefly with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers last season, before being traded back to the Heat at the deadline.

If this upcoming season is to be Wade’s last, NBA fans will surely miss him when he’s gone, but it may not be long before another Wade joins the league to fill the void. His 16 year old son, Zaire, has drawn a lot of attention of late, even teaming up with his father to wreak some havoc on a pick-up run.
