In their inaugural season, the Golden Knights have shocked the hockey world as they’ve been on a tear since game one of the 2017-18 campaign. As it stands, they sit in first place in the NHL with 82 points.

As much credit as James Neal, William Karlsson, Jonathan Marchessault and Marc-Andre Fleury deserve for popularizing hockey in the city, its Twitter team deserves some recognition as well. From roasting teams or promoting its own players, some of their content has garnered heavy traction on social media. Tonight, the team didn’t take any shots at their opponent, but did share a unique graphic that’ll leave hockey fans feeling nostalgic. After the win, a video of the team celebrating in Sega’s NHL 94’ was shared, with the players performing the game’s classic victory celebration.

In case you were wondering, the player selected is Golden Knights defenceman Nate Schmidt. The 26-year-old managed to collect a goal and an assist in tonight’s contest.

The Golden Knights weren’t exactly as friendly following a previous contest. They roasted Montreal on Twitter after the two exchanged some choice words.

Life is pretty good right now for hockey fans in Vegas, and its social media team has certainly helped the organization grow in popularity throughout the league.
