The Super Bowl is an emotionally-charged time of year for NFL fans. Even if a fan’s team is eliminated, everyone seems to pick a side in one of the more polarizing events of the year (particularly when the New England Patriots are involved.)

This is true for sound-minded fans, but apparently it’s especially true if you’re a die-hard fan for one of the teams and you are coming back from a state of anesthesia.

In other words, it’s an emotionally-charged time of year for Rutgers student Haley Parks.

The Eagles fan had her wisdom teeth taken out the same week her favourite football team was set to square off against the Patriots. When she came out of the medically-induced unconsciousness necessary to perform the procedure, the drugs hadn’t completely worn off yet. This made for a downright hilarious video of Parks explaining her deep love for the Eagles, as well as some analysis of her own.

Some of the highlights include her distraught at the thought that she may have missed the Super Bowl, her faith in Nick Foles, or who she calls St. Nick, and her detest for bandwagon fans.

It’s true, sometimes it’s hard to pick the real fans from the fake – not in Hayley’s case though.

To top things off, the Eagles are rewarding their die-hard with a pair of Super Bowl tickets. Hopefully she won't look too much like a chipmunk come Sunday!
