You’ll often hear fans and players of hockey use the term “Leave it on the ice”, but in the NHL where the most heated moments can replayed over and over, that can be hard to do.

It probably isn’t too hard for the players, but fans can hold grudges for a long time. One of the biggest grudges in the NHL is the one that Canucks fans hold against the Bruins and Brad Marchand in particular. Something that really launched his reputation as a super-pest was his work in the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, where many would credit him with a major part in the role of shutting the twins down.

Still, for the players of the NHL, it’s clear that they may have their differences on the ice, but they can all show respect for each other off the ice at the same time.

Obviously, as soon as Marchand shared that out, everybody couldn’t help but think of the same thing. Canucks fans were feeling a little salty and it brought out some fond memories for Bruins fans who looked back at their Stanley Cup run.
