Buffalo Bills fans found out on Tuesday that quarterback Derek Anderson suffered a concussion on Monday Night Football against the New England Patriots.

Anderson was forced to leave the game with 1:25 remaining in the fourth quarter after receiving a hard hit in the form of a sack from Kyle Van Noy. That meant that Nathan Peterman, who had three career touchdowns and nine interceptions, had to enter the game to finish out the final few plays. The Patriots went on to win 25-6 despite Tom Brady not throwing a single touchdown.

ESPN's Adam Schefter broke the news that Peterman will now be starting next week versus the Bears. With injuries to Andersen and Josh Allen being out at least for one more work, the Bills are being forced to rely on Peterman to go up against the vaunted Chicago Bears defence, who rank third in the NFL with intercepted passes this season. Naturally, football fans took to Twitter to have some with the Bills' unfortunate situation at quarterback.

Poor Nathan. Wouldn't it be great if he came out guns a blazing and propelled the Bills to a win?

But if he does fail, the Bills could turn to Terrelle Pryor, who once suited up at QB for the Oakland Raiders and arguably has better stats than Pryor.  In 14 game and nine starts with the Raiders, the former Ohio State Buckeye threw for 1,994 yards, nine touchdowns, 11 interceptions while completing 56.3 percent of his throws.

Compare that to Peterman's three starts and seven total games where he's completed just 40.6 percent of passes, and you could make the argument Pryor could take a couple of snaps.

But on a more realistic note, the Bills are said to be bringing in former Bears quarterback Matt Barkley, who last suited up in 2016.

If Peterman fails, then perhaps Barkley could come in and face his former club. Josh Allen can't return quick enough.
