The Dallas Cowboys are still in a bit of a pickle with less than a month until the NFL’s opening kickoff, but former quarterback and current CBS colour analyst Tony Romo remains confident that things will work out for his old squad.

Quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Ezekiel Elliot and wide receiver Amari Cooper are all looking for new contracts and in Romo's opinion, the deals are going to get done. He joined CBS Sports HQ to discuss the matter and shared some pretty flattering words about the QB who ultimately replaced him.

Man, that guy’s a stud.

Romo knows a thing or two about negotiating with team owner and general manager Jerry Jones so this whole situation is nothing new to him. Still… no one really knows what’s going to happen with Elliot. The two-time Pro-Bowler has insisted he will not play in the regular season without a new deal. Romo calls Elliot a coin-flip for Week 1.

As for Dak, the man wants to get PAID. Reports have suggested that the 26-year-old turned down $30 million a year and is looking to receive $40 million. His former wide receiver Dez Bryant, who also tore it up with Romo, believes the Cowboys should satisfy his request.

Jones has his work cut out for him.
