Hockey is definitely a family game, as it seems like every year another player is drafted whose father used to play in the NHL.

Two years ago, we saw Jake DeBrusk get drafted to the NHL, an exciting moment for his father, Louie DeBrusk, who played 401 games in the NHL. Last night may have just topped that for best moments in his life though, as his son scored his first NHL goal in his first NHL game. He also notched an assist, but the best moment of the night was dad’s reaction to the goal.

He’s said to have more skill than his father did, who was known as more of an enforcer and he definitely flashed some of it in his first NHL game. Now, if he can just continue to score at a two-point per game pace for the rest of his career, he’ll be a shoe-in for the HHOF and his father will have plenty more emotional moments throughout his son’s career.
