The 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang are right around the corner and on Thursday, Hockey Canada announced the roster for Canada's Men's team.
#TeamCanada has announced their roster for the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics π¨π¦

Although NHL players won't be participating in the Olympics this year, Canada's roster has over 5,500 games of NHL experience and there are a lot of names fans will recognize on the roster.
For the players that were named to the team, this is a dream come true for them and the Olympics will be an experience of a lifetime and as always, Canadians will be backing every single player as they try to deliver gold for Canada.
There are going to be jokes today made on Twitter about the non-NHL Canadian Olympic team named. We all agree the Olympics without NHL players stinks. But let's have respect for the players selected in their place. They're proud Canadians living out their Olympic dream.

For Derek Roy, an interesting journey. He was invited to Olympic orientation camp in Calgary back in August 2009 ahead of 2010 Vancouver Games. Now finally gets his Olympic shot, good for him

As a hockey fan & a Canadian, I get more satisfaction watching non-NHLers compete for gold for Canada. Much sweeter win when its more of a lunch pail group #hockey #Canada https://t.co/yla7yDmVA1

I'll be waking up at crazy hours to cheer for this team. Strategic talking points by Hockey Canada staff; adversity, perseverance, the narrative is set! ππ¨π¦

Looking forward to telling the stories of Team Canadaβs Menβs Hockey team. Chay Genoway is one of the players Canadian fans donβt know a lot about yet, but will be proud to see representing them

Iβm all in with this unsung group. Chance of a lifetime for 25 guys who have been grinding away at their craft their entire life, most without reaching the ultimate goal. Talk about playing for the love of the game.
Go win a gold medal!
Congrats to all the players selected. Go Canada. Show them why we are the best hockey nation in the WORLD https://t.co/I20ltPzgeQ
