Alex Ovechkin is one of the most dangerous shooters to ever play the game of hockey. The Russian powerhouse can be found in his office above the left faceoff dot in the opposing zone where he has scored a fair number of his career goals. On Monday, that number became 600.

Ovechkin became the 20th player to reach the mark, and only the 5th non-Canadian (Jaromir Jagr, Brett Hull, Teemu Selanne, and Jari Kurri are the others), and he did so in relatively quick fashion. Only three players have reached the milestone in few games.

The hockey world erupted in congratulations for the big Russian sniper, taking to Twitter to send their best on a meaningful career moment.
